The Red Bean Fish Lady of Namdaemun

Forget the heroin.  I like red bean fish pastries.  The lady poured the batter into one side of the hot iron with the fish indentations.  Then she pushed a length of sweet red bean paste on top of the cooking batter.

She added batter to the other side and closed the irons together.

The resulting fish shapes are so beautiful.  Janice and I each had one.
They were very hot, so we sat down and let them cool a little.

They are indescribably delicious.
